Sefa Sadık Aytekin was in active duty in governmental bodies and international organizations like the Ministry of State, Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Investment Office, The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources; working as head of department, deputy undersecretary, advisor to the minister and member of board of directors, between 1996 and 2017. Aytekin, since 2017, has served in private sector as manager and executive. Aytekin was graduated from Ankara Yükseliş Koleji and took his BA degree from Ankara University on International Relations. In 2002, Aytekin earned his MA degree from John Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He is the Secretary General of Turkish Machine Manufacturers Association (MİB) since 2019. Aytekin is married and the father of two.
